Biltmore Bride

Well, let's see... I was in Asheville, NC this weekend and flew a bride out to the Biltmore estate for bridal portraits. Yeah, I wish! However, I did make it look like she was there. I personally visited the largest home in America while on vacation this summer. If you have never been, then I highly recommend it. The place is mind blowing! So anyway, you are not supposed to take pictures inside the home. I did not break any rules, because I shot through a screen window from outside to get the background in this shot. I had an older photo of a bride who had her bridal portraits taken at the Kirk Pullen Photography Studio here in Warsaw, NC. I combined the two pictures in photoshop. Composites

I have been working on composites portraits the last few months. Those of you who don't know what that is, let me explain it. First, you take a person's portrait in a studio or other location and then, without the person being present, you go and take pictures of a scene in another location and then combine them in Photoshop. The advantage is that you don't have to drive a person to a scenic location and battle the elements. They can conveniently come to the Kirk Pullen Photography studio(here in Warsaw, NC) to get their picture taken. It can take several hours in Photoshop to get the look perfected.
