Senior Portrait Time

Chase is a North Duplin High School Rebel. We had a fantastic time capturing his senior portraits at the Kirk Pullen Photography studio. He is a multi-talented athlete, taking part in basketball, baseball, football and track and field. I took his pictures in my studio and then went out on location and photographed the backgrounds at a different time. This allows maximum creativity, since I can put Chase in whatever scene that I want. #seniorpictures #kirkpullenphotography #seniorportraits #basketball #athlete #photography

St. Patrick's Day Festival

We had a really fun time last week at the St. Patrick's Day festival in Emerald Isle, North Carolina.  My wife and I were working at the Kirk Pullen Photography booth, selling wildlife prints and photos of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. Every hour we gave one 8 x 10 print away to someone in the crowd. Participants had to put their name and email address on a card and put it in our handsomely decorated St. Patrick's day bucket. We asked random people from the crowd to draw a name out of the bucket. Winners were able to choose the 8 x 10 of their choice from the pictures that were available. The weather was a little on the cool side, but the sun was out and attendance at the festival was great! If you have never been to the St. Patrick's Day festival, then I highly recommend visiting the beautiful city of Emerald Isle, NC.

Real Estate Photography Warsaw, NC

I had the pleasure of working with the West Agency in Warsaw, NC this week. They needed photographs of houses they have contracted for sale. A great way to increase the chance of selling your house is to hire a professional photographer to take your real estate photos. A good real estate photo will have straight vertical lines, accurate white balance, few distractions,
good exposure and correct composition. A quick cell phone capture of a house may not have any of those things and will certainly not catch the eye of a potential buyer. This house is for sale through the West Agency if you are an interested buyer. It is located in the Grove Creek development in Warsaw, NC.

Cooking Keto with Kristie

Kristie Sullivan is an author of a low carb cookbook released this week called Cooking Keto with Kristie, A Journey Worth Taking. She asked me (Kirk Pullen Photography), to take photos of meatloaf and egg salad for  cookbook . It is the number 2 best selling new cookbook in the country on Amazon this week. LINK While I am not taking part in the Keto lifestyle, my wife is, and she has lost 85 pounds since 2015. I have tried many of the recipes due to the fact that my wife is constantly cooking them. I think my favorite recipes from the book are the jalapeno poppers and the old fashioned baked mac and cheese.

Recreation Basketball Photos

Two weeks ago, I was in a hurry to get my laptop to display older photos for the Faison Recreation youth basketball league.  I started copying the photos from each year onto a thumb drive to put onto the laptop. After putting a few years on the drive, I realized that I had been doing this for 5 years. It's amazing how fast time flies! I just want to thank parents and players for letting Kirk Pullen Photography capture your basketball memories. Parents, just in case you are reading this blog post, your pictures are available for pick up at the Faison Recreation and Wellness Center. Contact Beth Taylor for your pictures and I look forward to working with you all next year!
