Kirk Pullen Photography interview in the May/June issue of Wildlife in NC Magazine

Check out my interview in the 2018 May/June issue of Wildlife in NC Magazine. I shared tips on how to photograph wildlife. They also included some of my non-wildlife images. This is my second time this year being in the magazine. I won several categories of the Wildlife in NC photo contest back in January.  #wildlife #wildlifeinnc #kirkpullenphotography #capehatteraslighthouse #mountolivephotographer

All the small things...

In the summer when I am on vacation I am still a photographer! I love to take macros of bugs. Yes, I am a nerd who finds it relaxing to get out and photograph things going on in nature. Here are a few fly macros that I took a few weeks ago while on vacationing at my parents house on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I only had to take a few steps out the door on the deck to find these particular photo opportunities.

A Snowy Christmas

While there might not be snow on the ground, I did manage to find a snowy egret on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. These two images are of the same bird but from different angles. I love to get out and get wildlife images when I am on vacation at Cape Hatteras. I even got up early one morning and went to the Pea Island wildlife refuge. #nikon #snowyegret #birds #seabirds #capehatteras #wildlife #wildlifephotographer
