Kirk Pullen Photography interview in the May/June issue of Wildlife in NC Magazine

Check out my interview in the 2018 May/June issue of Wildlife in NC Magazine. I shared tips on how to photograph wildlife. They also included some of my non-wildlife images. This is my second time this year being in the magazine. I won several categories of the Wildlife in NC photo contest back in January.  #wildlife #wildlifeinnc #kirkpullenphotography #capehatteraslighthouse #mountolivephotographer

All the small things...

In the summer when I am on vacation I am still a photographer! I love to take macros of bugs. Yes, I am a nerd who finds it relaxing to get out and photograph things going on in nature. Here are a few fly macros that I took a few weeks ago while on vacationing at my parents house on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I only had to take a few steps out the door on the deck to find these particular photo opportunities.

Wildlife in NC Photo Contest Winner

I came in third in the animal behavior category of the January/February issue of Wildlife in NC Magazine. Every year the magazine holds a photo contest for wildlife. My brother Daniel also placed in several categories. See the contest images HERE It is so much fun to get and capture photos of wildlife. I was a bit disappointed that my snake images didn't get any notice, but am thankful that the ants crossed my path when nothing else was around to photograph.
