The New Year brings changes to Kirk Pullen Photography

www.kirkpullenphotography.com has a new pricing structure for 2013. We will be offering more specials this year and we are excited about working with the Arts Company Studios out of Faison, NC. I've worked about 5 hours in Photoshop on this composite of a picture I call Radiant Angel. It all started from a prom photo that took at the Kirk Pullen Photography Studio here in Warsaw, NC. Tomorrow I will show how I put the composite together in photoshop, so stay tuned to this blog.

Anonamys

I had the chance to work with a multi-talented artist named Kris Noel recently at Kirk Pullen Photography here in Warsaw, NC. He is a minister who break dances, sings, raps, plays guitar and loves God. His stage name is Anonamys. I encourage you to check his music out HERE if you get a chance.

Biltmore Bride

Well, let's see... I was in Asheville, NC this weekend and flew a bride out to the Biltmore estate for bridal portraits. Yeah, I wish! However, I did make it look like she was there. I personally visited the largest home in America while on vacation this summer. If you have never been, then I highly recommend it. The place is mind blowing! So anyway, you are not supposed to take pictures inside the home. I did not break any rules, because I shot through a screen window from outside to get the background in this shot. I had an older photo of a bride who had her bridal portraits taken at the Kirk Pullen Photography Studio here in Warsaw, NC. I combined the two pictures in photoshop. If you are looking for a unique portrait like this one, give me a call at 910-590-7761 and I'll be happy to set up a time to talk with you. The only limit is your imagination.

I have never had a photo session in a sunflower field before. It was a new experience to be roaming around a field without trying to knock some gargantuan flowers over and still trying to get a good shot. We only pulled a few ticks off during the shoot, so what's a few weeks of Lyme disease? Heh Heh! We had our photo session on the outskirts of Clinton, NC. Raychel B did an awesome job in 100% humidity and close to 100 degree heat. We finished up the shoot at an old barn which had many gadgets to pose around. If anyone is interested in an outdoor photo session it is $150 per hour and that comes with twenty 4 x 6 photos and an online password protected gallery. If you are interested in a studio type shot we have a steal of a deal! There is NO SITING FEE and only a $30 minimum purchase. Call me today at 910-590-7761 if you are interested in booking a session with www.kirkpullenphotography.com We are located in Warsaw, NC and you can also follow (LIKE) me on www.facebook.com

Let Summer Begin!

I've had a great spring working with many students attending proms and graduations. I've added a few more composites and portraits to the www.kirkpullenphotography.com website lately, so if you haven't visited in a while, you might check them out. Those of you who don't know what a COMPOSITE PORTRAIT is, let me explain it. (You can go to the GALLERIES tab on my website and click on ALMOST REALITY for example photos) The first step is to take a person's portrait in the studio. The photographer then goes out on his own and take pictures of a scene in another location and then later combine both photos in Photoshop. The advantage is that you don't have to drive a person to a scenic location and battle the elements. They can conveniently come to the Kirk Pullen Photography studio (here in Warsaw, NC) to get their picture taken. It can take several hours in Photoshop to get the look perfected. Call me at 910-590-7761 and we can discuss the type of composite you would like. The only limits are your imagination. You get a half hour photo session and one 11 x 14 Metallic Paper Print. $100 for the session and print.

Composites

I have been working on composites portraits the last few months. Those of you who don't know what that is, let me explain it. First, you take a person's portrait in a studio or other location and then, without the person being present, you go and take pictures of a scene in another location and then combine them in Photoshop. The advantage is that you don't have to drive a person to a scenic location and battle the elements. They can conveniently come to the Kirk Pullen Photography studio(here in Warsaw, NC) to get their picture taken. It can take several hours in Photoshop to get the look perfected. Here are some example photos. If you are interested in getting a composite photo then give me a call (910-590-7761) and we can discuss the setting you and look you desire. I am running a special on composite photos. You get an 11 x 14 metallic print of the composite photo for $100.
