Zombie - Before and After - The Walking Pullens

If you are interested in seeing what kind of work goes into a zombie family portrait, just wait for 2 seconds. The screen should flip back and forth between the before and after looks. As you can see, we used minimal make up to accentuate our eye sockets and the rest was done by me in Photoshop. My daughter is the only one who did not have any tears on her outfit and I completed that in Photoshop as well. My wife and I took about 30 minutes to pick out clothing at a local second hand clothing store. I used a knife to cut holes in our outfits and then took them outside and rolled them in some mud. The mud smelled awful!!! I photographed each one of us in the Kirk Pullen Photography studio and used the same lighting scenario for each of us. I should have several other zombie pictures from this session in the near future, so stay tuned.

The Walking Pullens

So I really like this certain television show and I thought...hey I could turn my family into zombies. We'd like to thank Sarah's Refuge here in Warsaw, NC for letting us purchase the cool zombie threads. I sort of look like a zombie in real life so it wasn't much of a transformation for me. I spent an hour or two last night putting make up on and getting all the outfits muddy for the family photo session.

Basketball Photos at the Faison Wellness Center

This weekend I had the chance to work with the boys and girls recreation basketball league at the Wellness Center located in Faison, North Carolina. I let the players choose between several different type of action or posed shots. This week I have been showing you what you can expect as far as editing when you get a photo from Kirk Pullen Photography. You can see the before and after photos, with the first photo being straight out of the camera and the second being the finished edited image.
